Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ORBT Protocol, including its smart contracts, web interfaces, APIs, applications, and related documentation (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

2. Nature of the Protocol

The ORBT Protocol is a decentralized suite of smart contracts deployed on public blockchains. It enables users to mint, redeem, and interact with on-chain assets known as 0xAssets.

The Protocol operates in a non-custodial manner: you retain full control of your wallet and private keys. Interactions occur directly between your blockchain address and the smart contracts.

3. Eligibility and Access

Use of the Services requires that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into these Terms. You must ensure that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

The ORBT Protocol does not impose geographic or user restrictions at the protocol level; however, certain interfaces, integrations, or features may be subject to eligibility or verification criteria (including, without limitation, KYC/KYB or whitelisting requirements) implemented by independent front-ends or contributors.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining control of your wallet, private keys, and security credentials.

  • Ensuring accuracy of all transactions and addresses you interact with.

  • Bearing all gas fees, network costs, and protocol-level fees.

  • Understanding how the smart contracts operate before engaging.

5. No Custody and No Guarantees

The ORBT Protocol and its contributors do not custody, hold, or manage user funds. The Services are provided “as-is” without warranty of any kind. Smart-contract execution is autonomous and irreversible. There is no guarantee of uptime, performance, price stability, or successful execution of any transaction.

6. No Advice

Information provided through documentation, dashboards, or interfaces is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. You should conduct your own due diligence before using the Protocol.

7. Protocol Changes and Upgrades

The ORBT Protocol may evolve, upgrade, migrate, or change parameters or contract addresses at any time through community or contributor actions. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of such modifications.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the ORBT Protocol, its developers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of assets, profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to the use of the Services.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the ORBT Protocol, its developers, and contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual Property

Except for open-source code governed by its respective licenses, all content available through official ORBT Protocol documentation, branding, and interfaces is the property of its respective creators and may not be reproduced without authorization.

11. Amendments

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the effective version. Your continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
